      <description>Location: Glasgow | Salary: &amp;pound;700 - &amp;pound;701/day | Type: Contract | Key Responsibilities    Develop technical specifications, scopes of work and engineering requirements for primary plant.  Provide technical expertise across AIS/GIS switchgear, transformers, reactors, FACTS and grid-stabilisation equipment.  Review and assure contractor and consultant designs, ensuring compliance with project standards and client requirements.  Support FATs, procurement, manufacturing, installation and commissioning.  Manage technical queries, design changes, deviations and engineering risks.  Apply Safety by Design, CDM, HAZID/HAZOP and engineering assurance processes.  Work closely with Civil, Cable, Protection &amp; Control and Building Services teams.  Provide technical support at manufacturing facilities and project sites, including defect and issue resolution.  Liaise with contractors, consultants, manufacturers and operational stakeholders.    Ideal Candidate   The key requirement is someone with transmission-level primary plant experience, ideally between 33kV to 400kV.  They should have:   Strong knowledge of AIS/GIS, transformers, reactors and substation equipment.
