PLANT and TOOL FITTERLocation: AscotSalary: 36,200 per annum (o/t available)Job Type: PermanentHours: Monday-FridayWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Plant and Tool Fitter to join an established plant and tool hire business.This is a varied, hands-on position working within a busy workshop and plant hire environment, with responsibility for the servicing, maintenance, testing and repair of plant and small tools, as well as attending customer sites when required.The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within plant hire, tool hire, plant engineering, mechanical fitting or a similar environment and will be confident diagnosing and resolving faults across a range of equipment.Key Responsibilities- Test, maintain, service and repair a range of plant and hand tools- Carry out repairs and maintenance at customer sites when required- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs- Clean, inspect and prepare returned hire equipment- Maintain workshop tools, test equipment and ancillary equipment- Carry out bodywork repairs and painting to maintain the appearance of the hire fleet- Update fleet numbers and equipment identification as required- Assist customers with loading and unloading equipment- Deliver or collect equipment when required- Assist drivers with loading and unloading vehicles- Liaise with office staff regarding equipment required for future bookings- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues- Assist other depots ..... full job details .....
