Plant and Agricultural Engineer (min 3 years experience)

Job description We are looking for an experienced engineer to work on mainly plant machinery but some agricultural machinery from a plate compactor to a 13T excavator. 50% of work is on site working from a van the other in our workshops. Work involves servicing, diagnostics and repairs of all plant. Requirements of Plant/Agricultural Engineer role You will have experience as an engineer or mechanic. You will have an understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrics. You will have a understanding of modern vehicle computing technology. You will have a understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematic drawings to assist in procedure for diagnostics. You will have at least some welding competence, and a willingness to undertake professional training. You will have fantastic attention to detail and will check measurements and dimensions of each piece thoroughly to ensure accuracy. You will be competent in using fabrication machines including grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, and flame cutters to cut, bend, grind and adjust materials. You will be able to comprehend drawings and work specifications. You will be a driven, self-motivated person who is able to plan, prioritise and manage their own workload. You will be confident in your own abilities and decision-making. You will be an enthusiastic team-player. You will have a current driving license. A forklift license is desirable.
