Job Title: Planning Officer Location: Ballymena or Derry/Londonderry Duration: Temporary Salary: £16.90 per hour Hours: 37 hours per week Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm Closing date for CV submission: 5:00pm on Wednesday 5th August 2026. Apple Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for a Planning Officer based in Ballymena or Derry/Londonderry. This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional to support housing-led regeneration, land asset management and strategic planning initiatives. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of new housing developments, regeneration programmes and place-shaping projects across Northern Ireland. Key Responsibilities Undertake land asset activities, including evaluations, estate studies and planning applications. Support housing-led regeneration projects and the delivery of new housing developments, including mixed-use and mixed-tenure neighbourhoods. Assist with the Social Housing Development Programme by identifying and supporting schemes in areas of housing need. Undertake Site Identification Studies and Feasibility Studies in areas of high housing demand and rural locations. Provide professional town planning advice across a range of housing and regeneration projects. Complete Housing Market Analysis and Housing Need Statements.
