Location: IlkestonSalary: 45,000- 50,000 + BenefitsOverviewWe are seeking a highly organised and proactive Planning Manager to oversee the day-to-day scheduling and operational coordination of RoRo skip movements across the region. This role requires someone who can manage workloads, optimise routes, coordinate drivers, and maintain high service levels while ensuring compliance and cost-efficiency. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operational growth and driving continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the daily planning and scheduling of RoRo skip collections and deliveriesOptimise driver routes to maximise efficiency and reduce operational costsLiaise with customers, drivers, and yard teams to ensure timely serviceEnsure all compliance requirements are met, including WTD, HandS, and company policiesMonitor fleet utilisation and react quickly to changes in demandManage booking systems and planning softwareResolve operational issues promptly and professionallyWork closely with management to implement continuous improvement initiativesProvide leadership and support to planning/transport teamsProduce daily/weekly performance reports and KPIsRequirementsProven experience in a planning, scheduling, or operations role within waste management, transport, or RoRo skipsStrong understanding of skip hire operations, fleet utilisation, and routingExcellent communication and customer-facing skillsAbility to work under pressure and adapt to ..... full job details .....
