West Midlands , who are recruiting for a

locum Planning Lawyer

to join their team on a

locum

basis for an

initial 3-months .This is a part-time position with capacity for

20 - 25 hours p/week , and they are offering an hourly rate of circa

£50 - £60 p/hour UMB . This is a predominantly remote position, but the successful candidate will be required to attend committees on a monthly basis. They are looking for someone to get started as soon as possible.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Handling a mixed caseload of Planning, Highways and Enforcement mattersAdvising on planning matters to do with major projects in the regionProviding advice to the client group on varied Planning matters, including advising on appeal enquiries and other associated matters as requiredAttending and representing the Council at Committee meetings on an ad-hoc basisDrafting and advising s.106 agreements, CIL, certificates of lawful use and advising on other planning related mattersAdvising on, drafting and completing highways agreements, including deeds of dedication and footpaths ordersExperience required:Experience required in Local AuthorityExperience handling planning committeesSignificant planning and highways law experienceWorking hours:Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
