Job Title: Construction Planner
Location: London (with travel covered)
Salary: Up to £80,000 + Travel Allowance + Standard Pension + Benefits

We are working with a leading Tier 2 contractor with a turnover of £600m, renowned for delivering exceptional projects across London and the South East. The company is continuing its growth trajectory and has a strong pipeline of large-scale residential developments, RC frame schemes, and student accommodation projects ranging from £50m to £100m in value.
Role Overview
I am looking for experienced Construction Planners to join the team and play a key role in developing and managing construction programmes from pre-construction through to project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven planner to work on high-value, complex residential projects and make a tangible impact on their successful completion.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, monitor, and update project programmes using industry-standard planning software.

Work closely with the project management team to ensure programmes are realistic, achievable, and aligned with contractual requirements.

Provide planning input during tender submissions and pre-construction phases.

Identify potential delays, risks, and opportunities and report findings to senior management.

Collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.

Prepare progress reports and support project reviews.
Requirements

Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (essential).

Proven experience as a Planner within a main contractor environment.

Strong background in residential projects, including RC frame and student accommodation developments.

Experience working on projects valued £50m – £100m.

Proficient in planning software such as Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6.

Excellent communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
