Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a dynamic, independent planning consultancy in their search for a Chartered Planner to join their growing Manchester team.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a planning professional with experience in managing and submitting planning applications across a wide array of development types. Ideal candidates will be comfortable leading technical and strategic components of planning projects, collaborating with clients, and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Role Overview
As a Chartered Planner, your responsibilities will include:
Leading on planning applications from feasibility to submission, including the preparation of statements, documentation, and managing stakeholder interactions.
Undertaking due diligence, site assessments, and strategic appraisals.
Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, local authorities, and other partners throughout the planning process.
Ensuring effective project delivery by coordinating multidisciplinary inputs and adhering to client expectations and deadlines.
Candidate Profile
We''re looking for someone who has:
RTPI accreditation (MRTPI) or equivalent.
Proven experience in managing and submitting planning applications.
Strong technical knowledge of UK planning policy and development management procedures.
Excellent report-writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
A commercially aware, proactive, and collaborative approach to project delivery.
