We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our fabrication workshop team. The role involves welding and assembling pipework to a high standard, ensuring all work meets relevant codes, specifications, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a workshop environment and be proficient in multiple welding techniques.Key Responsibilities:Perform pipe welding using processes such as TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and Stick (SMAW)Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometric diagrams, and weld proceduresPrepare, align, and fit pipe sections prior to weldingEnsure all welds meet quality standards and pass visual and/or NDT inspectionOperate workshop tools and equipment safely and efficientlyCarry out repairs and rework where necessaryMaintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety regulationsWork collaboratively with fabricators, fitters, and supervisors to meet production deadlinesSkills RequiredRequired Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience as a pipe welder in a fabrication/workshop environmentProficiency in TIG welding (essential); MIG and Stick welding advantageousAbility to weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloysStrong understanding of welding symbols and technical drawingsExperience working to industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, or equivalent)Good attention to detail and quality workmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a teamQualifications RequiredCertifications (Preferred/Required):Valid welding certifications (e.g., coded welder certification)CSCS card (if applicable)Additional qualifications in fabrication or engineering are advantageousKeywordswelderfabricatorcambridgecambridgeshire
