Pipefitter - Naval Shipbuilding (Govan)

We are seeking experienced Pipefitters to join a leading shipbuilding programme based at a major shipyard in Govan, working on the construction and outfitting of advanced naval vessels.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and install pipework systems onboard naval ships.
• Interpret and work from fabrication and installation drawings.
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards and tolerances.
• Adhere to all Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) regulations and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production targets.
• Support the resolution of shop-floor issues and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Deliver work safely, efficiently and to agreed schedules.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter within shipbuilding, marine, heavy engineering or a similar industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of safe working practices, including risk awareness.
• Excellent practical assembly and fabrication skills.
• Reliable team player with good communication skills.
• Relevant trade qualifications or trade papers.
• Current safety certifications (e.g. SHE induction, COSHH awareness, Working at Height) are advantageous.
