12-month contract

We are looking for experienced Pipe Welders to join major defence engineering projects in Barrow or Govan.

The Role

• Welding pipework and components to high-quality standards
• Working from drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• TIG, MAG and/or Flux-Cored welding
• Working with a range of materials and tight tolerances
• Carrying out preheating, grinding, cleaning and finishing
• Inspecting and checking your own work
• Working safely within a skilled production team

Requirements

• Time-served Engineering Modern Apprenticeship or equivalent
• Strong industrial welding experience
• Experience working to WPS and high-quality standards
• Relevant welding qualifications/certifications
• Strong understanding of SHE and quality requirements
