PIP Functional Assessor Role

Location: Bournemouth

Salary : £40,000 increasing to £41,000 after 6 months then £42,000 after 12 months!

Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday , No evenings, weekends or bank holidays!! Hybrid working

The role: As a functional assessor, you will be assessing people who are applying for government benefits (PIP). You wont be diagnosing or treating but will be using your clinical knowledge to inspect how the persons disabilities or conditions affect their day to day living. You will then create detailed reports for the Department of Work and Pensions who make the final decision.

Essential Criteria: 

• Must be a registered NMC Adult nurse (General, Mental health, Learning Disability), HCPC registered Paramedic, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or GPhC registered Pharmacist
• Have a minimum of 12 months post-registration clinical experience in the UK
• Be able to demonstrate strong clinical assessment, history-taking and decision-making skills
• Strong IT proficiency and confidence using clinical systems
• Ability to type accurately while producing detailed clinical reports
• Strong clinical reasoning and professional judgement
• Ability to manage workload and maintain high-quality documentation
