About the Role
Pertemps Leeds is hiring a Pick/Packer to join a fresh produce business in Brough, with an immediate start available. This full-time, temporary position pays £12.71 per hour, with weekly pay and full training provided. Working hours are 7:00am to 2:45pm, Monday to Friday, with earlier start and finish times possible depending on operational needs. You will rotate between the Packhouse and Glasshouse, carrying out duties such as picking and packing fresh produce, including tomatoes. Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential. 🕒 Working Hours

- 15-minute morning break (unpaid)
- 30-minute lunch break (unpaid)

Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing fresh produce
- Packing tomatoes and cucumbers into trays and containers
- Quality checking products before dispatch
- Preparing orders for distribution
- Working on a busy production line
- Labelling and packing products
- Harvesting fresh produce
- Supporting general crop maintenance
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene standards
- Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised
- Previous pick packing, production operative, warehouse, factory, food production, or manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable standing for long periods
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Willing to follow health & safety and food hygiene procedures
