About the Role
Pertemps Liverpool is recruiting a Picking & Packing Operative to join a busy warehouse operation in Skelmersdale (WN8). This full-time, temporary role offers a salary of £13 per hour, rising to £19.50 per hour for overtime after 37.5 hours. Working Monday to Friday, you will choose between an early shift (06:00-14:00) or a late shift (14:00-22:00), with flexibility required. Your primary duties involve accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch to maintain efficient workflow. The position suits someone organised and reliable, comfortable handling physical stock and using basic warehouse systems. A mandatory drug and alcohol test is required before starting, with an immediate start date available.

About the Role
We’re recruiting several Picking & Packing Warehouse Operatives to support a busy warehouse operation in Skelmersdale. Your main responsibility will be accurately selecting, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch, ensuring workflow runs smoothly throughout the day.
This role suits someone organised, reliable and confident working with physical stock and basic warehouse systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Order picking - selecting items accurately according to pick lists
- Packing goods - preparing products securely for shipment
- Stock organisation - sorting, arranging and replenishing inventory
- Labelling & scanning - using simple systems to record stock movement
- Re‑packing tasks - correcting packaging issues when required
- General warehouse duties - supporting loading, unloading and housekeeping
- Maintaining a clean, safe working environment in line with warehouse standards
- Strong attention to detail - accuracy is essential in picking and packing
- Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in warehouse, picking, packing or manufacturing is desirable
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
