Early Morning Warehouse Shifts Available (Monday to Friday)!

Job Overview:

We require a full-time Picker and Packer to work in a distribution centre and warehouse facility.

You will need to be able to follow instructions, read product codes, pick items manually, and ideally have some sort of power pallet trucks and or forklift truck driving experience. As you-will be responsible for handling stock efficiently, manual picking and packing, as well as operating forklift trucks safely, and maintaining smooth warehouse operations.

This role is vital in ensuring the timely and accurate movement of goods within our facility, supporting overall logistics and inventory management.

Based just outside central Southampton, no bus or train links available.

Duties:

• Working in the warehouse, distribution facility, and blast chiller environment (-18 and -21 degrees).
• Picking and packing, goods-in and goods-out, loading and unloading vans, lorries, trucks etc.
• Using a pallet and forklift trucks as and when required on site when required as well as manual handling of up to 25kg items.
• Picking boxed and individual items to customer orders.
• Ensuring all incoming stock is correctly inventoried and allocated to the correct storage locations.
• Starting at 02:00am, finishing at 10:00am.
• Hourly pay rate -12.71, -12.75-per hour if you have a valid-forklift license or training certificate).
• Temporary to permanent probation period of 12-weeks if you are successful and reliable they will take you on as a permanent member of staff.

Requirements:

• You would need to complete a face-to-face interview.
• Complete our online registration form.
• Supply us with your right to work documentation and any valid forklift training certificates or licenses that you have.
• You must be able to communicate with other staff and team leader in English and understand written English, as well as complete health and safety training, follow processes and procedures.
• You must be able to work a full-time position that will become permanent (no visa sponsorship support available).
• You must have your own transport to get to site each morning-for your shift, as there are no bus or train services at 2am (you could cycle 30-minutes from Southampton central train station or similar location).
• Must have some warehouse experience and any forklift or pallet truck experience will be an added benefit.
• Must have experience working in a warehouse environment picking and packing.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 25kg and work in blast chillers / fridges at -18/-21 degrees, as well as able to work-outside in a yard completing goods-in/goods-out if required.
