      <description>Location: York | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Permanent | Physicist/Development Engineer   We are working with a highly innovative technology company developing cutting-edge scientific instrumentation used in advanced research and industrial environments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Physicist or Engineer with a strong practical mindset to join their development team.  This is a hands-on role sitting between R&amp;D and field engineering, ideal for someone who enjoys building, troubleshooting and working directly with complex hardware systems, while applying fundamental scientific understanding to solve real-world problems.   The Role   You will be involved in the development, testing, installation and optimisation of advanced instrumentation systems.
