Job Title: Physical Education Teacher (Secondary) Location: Dunblane, Scotland Role: 5 days per week There will be some commitment to supporting weekend sport/matches, Job Purpose To deliver high-quality Physical Education teaching within a full-boarding, nurturing school environment, supporting young people to achieve their academic potential while contributing to their wider personal development. The role requires a commitment to Curriculum for Excellence (CfE), strong pastoral care, and active involvement in the broader life of the school community. Key Responsibilities Learning and Teaching Plan and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons across Broad General Education (BGE) and Senior Phase, including SQA qualifications (National 4/5, Higher, Advanced Higher). Adapt teaching approaches to support a diverse boarding pupil cohort, recognising varied backgrounds and experiences. Promote independent learning, resilience, and critical thinking. Use formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor progress and raise attainment. This role requires the candidate to teach Rugby. Curriculum Development Contribute to the ongoing development of a dynamic and relevant Physical Education curriculum aligned with the Curriculum for Excellence. Support interdisciplinary learning and cross-curricular initiatives. Participate in departmental moderation and quality assurance processes.
