Roles & Responsibilities

As a PE Teacher with TeacherActive, you will:

• Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons that encourage participation, skill development, and teamwork.

• Create a positive and safe learning environment both in the classroom and during practical sessions.

• Manage behaviour effectively to ensure all students remain motivated and on task.

• Promote healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, and wellbeing among pupils.

• Contribute to extracurricular sporting activities and support school teams where required.

• Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to enhance the PE curriculum and wider school community.

The Successful PE Teacher Will Have:

• QTS with PE specialism (ECTs welcome to apply)

• Experience teaching PE up to Key Stage 4 / GCSE

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• A genuine passion for motivating and inspiring young people through sport
