PHP Software Developer - Sheffield We re looking for a PHP Software Developer to take the lead on architecting, developing, and optimising bespoke digital projects for clients across hospitality, retail, property, sport, and food and drink. Based in, you ll work side by side with designers and strategists to deliver high-quality, user-focused solutions that push performance and creativity forward. This is more than just writing code - it s about setting technical direction, solving complex problems, and shaping the future of our growing Digital team. What you ll do Translate creative design concepts into functional, user-focused websites Lead client projects from concept to launch, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met Collaborate directly with clients, explaining technical decisions in plain language Maintain and optimise existing client sites, adding features and solving challenges Help define technical strategy, tooling, and coding standards for the team Mentor junior developers and share best practices What we re looking for You ll thrive in this role if you bring: Proven experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML, JavaScript (incl. jQuery), CSS (SCSS and Tailwind) Strong UX awareness and the ability to bring design concepts to life Experience owning projects end-to-end from scoping to deployment Confidence with Git and modern development workflows A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills Desirable: WordPress and/or Shopify (Basic / Advanced / Plus) ..... full job details .....
