ROLE : Photocopier / Print Production FSE LOCATION : Bedfordshire Job Summary

TXP are seeking an experienced and proactive Photocopier Engineer to join a busy technical support team. This is a field-based role covering the Bedfordshire area, focused on the installation, maintenance, and repair of multi-functional devices (Mod''s)-particularly Ricoh machines, including production-level print equipment. You''ll play a key role in ensuring customers experience minimal downtime and optimal performance of their print infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults, carry out preventative maintenance, and perform routine servicing of Ricoh print equipment.
• Respond to service calls within SLA times, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Perform firmware updates and troubleshoot software/networking issues.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete job reports.
• Provide remote technical support or advice to customers and colleagues.
• Manage tools, parts, and vehicle stock efficiently.
• Identify and report recurring issues to support continuous service improvement.
• Liaise with internal departments and customer IT teams for smooth service delivery.
• Attend virtual/in-person manufacturer training courses to maintain and develop technical knowledge.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a field-based or in-house Photocopier Engineer.
• Strong working knowledge of Ricoh MFDs and production print machines preferred; experience with other manufacturers also considered.
• Solid understanding of print drivers, networking (related to printing), scanning configurations and user authentication.
• Experience in high-volume or production print environments is highly desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Desirable Qualifications & Certifications

• Ricoh technical training certifications
• Experience with other manufacturers'' devices (e.g., Canon, Konica Minolta, Xerox) is a bonus.
