Photocopier Field Service Engineer
Location: Birmingham / West Midlands

About the Role

You''ll deliver professional, efficient technical support across a range of MFDs and photocopiers, ensuring timely fault resolution and high-quality maintenance. Working both independently and as part of a wider engineering team, you''ll contribute to a strong service culture built on collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and customer focus.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver technical support within agreed SLA timeframes
Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently and accurately
Perform routine maintenance, updates, and modifications
Assist with equipment installations and configuration
Understand and adhere to SLAs for assigned accounts
Carry out basic fault finding across managed print solutions
Provide cover for colleagues during absence or peak periods
Log service calls accurately and promptly
Report recurring faults to support proactive resolution
Share technical knowledge with team members
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
Manage boot stock and site stock levels effectively
Attend manufacturer training to maintain technical proficiency

Ideal Candidate Profile

Proven experience in field-based technical support within the MFD/photocopier/print sector
Strong logical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer-facing ability
Confident working independently while contributing to a high-performing team

Package

Salary up to £31,000
