This is an in-person tutoring opportunity and is not an online role.The role involves providing personalised Philosophy tuition to learners who may have additional learning needs, SEND requirements or social, emotional and mental health needs. Tutors will be expected to build positive and trusting relationships with learners, provide a consistent approach to learning and adapt their teaching to meet individual needs.We are looking for a Philosophy Tutor who is passionate about helping young people re-engage with education, develop their critical thinking skills, build confidence and make meaningful academic and personal progress.The Role May InvolveDelivering one-to-one or small-group Philosophy tuitionSupporting learners with key areas of Philosophy and philosophical thoughtDeveloping learners'' ability to analyse, evaluate and construct well-reasoned argumentsEncouraging discussion, debate and independent thinkingSupporting students with SEND and/or SEMH needsPlanning engaging, accessible and personalised lessons and activitiesAdapting teaching approaches to suit individual abilities, learning needs and levels of engagementBreaking down complex philosophical ideas and concepts into accessible and engaging ..... full job details .....
