Philanthropy Manager

OverviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Philanthropy Manager to join a leading national charity.
This is a full-time, permanent role within the Fundraising team, focused on cultivating and stewarding relationships with high net worth individuals and major donors to maximise income in support of the organisation’s vital work.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver a major donor fundraising strategy to grow income from high-net-worth individuals
Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, providing excellent stewardship and tailored engagement plans
Work with senior leadership and trustees to leverage networks and support donor cultivation activity
Research, identify, and cultivate new prospects to build a strong and sustainable donor pipeline
Draft high-quality, compelling proposals, cases for support, and impact reports tailored to donor interests
Plan and deliver donor cultivation events and bespoke engagement opportunities to strengthen supporter relationships
Collaborate with colleagues across fundraising, communications, and services to identify and package opportunities for donor investment
Monitor income performance against targets, preparing regular reports and forecasts for senior management
Stay up to date with sector trends and best practice in philanthropy fundraising
Undertake any other duties as reasonably required to support the fundraising function
Proven experience in philanthropy, major donor, or high value fundraising within the charity sector
Strong track record of securing significant gifts from high net worth individuals
Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to inspire confidence in donors and senior stakeholders
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce persuasive cases for support
Confident networker with the ability to develop long-term, meaningful partnerships
Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach and ability to deliver against ambitious income targets
Highly organised, able to manage multiple donor relationships and projects simultaneously
A proactive, collaborative team player who can work effectively across teams and with senior leaders

£42,000 – £47,000 per annum (depending on experience)
