Overview

We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Dispensary Teams in Kennington and Weston-on-the-Green. These teams are managed by a Dispensary Manager and a Deputy Manager and consist of Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants, Pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Admin. This is a full time role however a minimum of 22.5 hours per week will be considered. Your role will be split across both sites to help develop our Pharmacy Services and your own skills. You\''ll be joining a hard working, supportive and dedicated team, in providing a medicines supply and optimisation service to patients at our Trust. We provide Pharmacy services to Mental Health Units, Community Hospitals and other community-based services. This is undertaken in the form of Ward Medicines Management visits and the dispensing of Inpatient, out-patient, and discharge medicines.This role is ideal for a newly qualified Pharmacy Technician or a Technician who is currently working in a Community Pharmacy and would like to transition across to a hospital setting. We\''re looking for an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills. You will need to be forward thinking and enthusiastic, with a commitment to continuing professional and department development. You\''ll also get the opportunity to become an Accredited Checking Technician and develop your dispensary and leadership skills.Responsibilities

Accurately updating Patient Medical Records (PMR) and processing of prescriptionsLabel/dispense prescriptions for in-patients and outpatients in accordance with local and national policies and any Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in placeSupply Controlled Drugs complying with CD regulationsParticipate in Clozapine dispensing and servicesParticipate in efficient stock control and management systems for the DispensaryProvide support to Pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians while they undertake their learningOpportunity to participate in ward top-ups once training is completeQualifications

Applicants must hold the NVQ3 in Pharmacy Services or an equivalent recognised GPHC qualificationAll applicants must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical CouncilWork Environment and Benefits
