Pest Control tech - RSPH L2Southwark CouncilSE15 3SN£17.53 ph PAYE - approx. £34,200.00 per annumOngoing contractDriving licence essentialJob OverviewSouthwark Council is seeking an experienced Pest Control Technician to deliver frontline pest control services to residents, council departments and commercial clients. The role involves inspecting properties and public spaces, identifying infestations, carrying out treatments and proofing works, and providing professional advice to prevent future pest problems.The successful candidate must hold a minimum RSPH Level 2 Pest Control Technician qualification and a valid UK driving licence.Key Responsibilities Inspect properties, communal areas, commercial premises and public spaces to identify pest infestations and determine appropriate treatments.Carry out safe and humane pest control treatments using traps, pesticides, biocides, deterrents and other approved methods, in line with BPCA guidance and relevant legislation.Deal with a range of pests, including rodents, squirrels, cockroaches, bed bugs, fleas, moths, flies, ants, wasps, hornets and pigeons.Conduct internal and external surveys, including drain inspections, and recommend repairs or proofing works to prevent recurring infestations.
