Personal Tax Supervisor or Manager

A well-established and independent accountancy firm with offices in London and Hertfordshire is seeking a proactive and commercially astute Tax Supervisor or Assistant Manager to join its growing tax team. With over 50 years of history and a reputation for integrity, collaboration, and client-focused service, the firm is entering an exciting phase of growth and development. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to inherit a varied portfolio of clients including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurial business owners, and internationally mobile professionals. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across the firm, including experienced tax partners with backgrounds in HMRC, Big Four firms, and international advisory.Responsibilities

Oversee the personal tax compliance process, ensuring accuracy and identifying opportunities for bespoke advisory workReview work prepared by junior staff, providing constructive feedback and supporting their developmentCollaborate with other departments to deliver joined-up advice across audit, accounts, and taxSupport business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the client baseEngage with complex tax matters including international tax, stamp duty, and transaction structuringParticipate in training and mentoring, helping to build a high-performing tax teamAbout you

Strong technical background in personal tax, with broader tax experience a plusConfident communicator with a proactive and detail-oriented approachExperience in reviewing tax computations and managing client relationshipsInterest in developing advisory skills and contributing to business growthCTA qualified or equivalent preferredThis is a highly visible role with significant exposure to senior leadership.
