Personal Tax Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a  Personal Tax Manager based in Luton for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis. 

Summary of the Personal Tax Manager role 

Salary: £51,300 to £61,200 
Location: Luton 
Type of Contract: Permanent  
Hours: Monday – Friday 9am-5pm  

Responsibilities of the Personal Tax Manager

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, trustees and professional advisors
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Identify tax planning opportunities and assist Directors and Managers
• Oversee the preparation and review of personal tax returns, trust and estate tax returns, and related compliance work
• Deal with HMRC correspondence and enquiries
• Provide technical input on a range of personal tax, trust, and estate matters
• Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation
• Manage, supervise, and mentor Personal Tax Seniors and junior team members
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, ethical requirements, and internal firm procedures
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements for a successful Personal Tax Manager

• CTA qualified, or ACA/ACCA qualified with significant personal tax and trust experience
• Strong experience within a UK accountancy or tax practice
• Good technical knowledge of UK personal trust, trust, and estate taxation
• Experience managing a personal tax and trust client portfolio
• Organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
