Job Title: Personal Skills Assistant Location: College in West Yorkshire, EnglandHours: 30 hours per weekContract: Temporary, Term-Time Only About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate, proactive and dedicated Personal Skills Assistant to support learners with learning difficulties, disabilities, and sensory impairments.This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by enabling learners to access education, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals within a supportive educational environment.You will work closely with tutors and support staff to provide tailored assistance, both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring learners can fully participate in their programmes.Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day support to learners under the direction of the course tutor.Support learners during taught sessions and at other times as required.Deliver personal care support, including intimate care (e.g. toileting, changing) and moving and handling, in line with individual risk assessments.Assist in monitoring learner progress, achievement, attendance, and target setting.Support learners in building portfolios and completing functional skills evidence.Work collaboratively with tutors to develop and implement strategies to meet individual learning needs.Advise colleagues on specific learner needs where appropriate.Assist with preparing learning materials and equipment.Support learner mobility, including access to and from college and work ..... full job details .....
