About the Role
The Personal Injury Solicitor (Defendant) will manage a caseload of employer’s and public liability claims from this London-based practice. Handling pre-action and litigated matters, the role involves advising on regulatory investigations with bodies such as the HSE and police, and attending coroner’s inquests. Working full-time, the successful candidate will assist partners on high-value, complex litigation, including multi-party disputes worth millions. Key duties include policy coverage interpretation and property damage claims. With a salary between £70,000 and £80,000 depending on experience, this position requires four years’ post-qualification experience, strong litigation skills, and the ability to manage fast-track through to substantial claims.

THE ROLE:
• Manage your own caseload of defendant EL/PL claims
• Assist partners on complex and high-profile litigation
• Handle pre-action and litigated personal injury and property damage claims
• Advise on regulatory investigations and prosecutions involving the HSE, police and CQC
• Attend coroner’s inquests
• Assist with policy coverage disputes and interpretation issues
• Work on claims ranging from fast-track matters through to multi-million-pound, multi-party disputes
• Dealing primarily with instructions from insurers on behalf of policyholders, plus direct non-insurance related instructions.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Applications are sought from Defendant Personal Injury Solicitors with a minimum of 4 Years PQE.
• Strong experience handling Employer’s Liability and Public Liability claims
• Excellent technical and drafting ability
• Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills
• A proactive, ambitious and organised approach
• Excellent attention to detail and teamwork skills
