A special educational needs school in Mansfield are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils on a full-time basis (term time only).-
The school caters for pupils aged-318-years-with ASC (Autistic Spectrum Conditions)-SCLN-(Speech, language, and communication needs)-and other complex medical, physical and health needs.
They-require-a Learning Support Assistant, ideally with-previous-experience providing support for people with-additional-needs, and who is committed to increasing life chances for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The successful applicant will join an established team of class and senior-teachers-and-Learning Support Assistants.
The successful candidate will:-

• Have experience in an education or health care setting, and be able to liaise with a large, multi-disciplinary team

• Have excellent communication skills and will-be responsible for-providing feedback to pupils and their parents/carers on a regular basis-

• Be comfortable with personal care and support feeding due to the complexity of pupil needs-

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop a happy, safe, and stimulating learning environment which meets pupils'' physical, academic,-social-and emotional needs-

• Support young people to develop their confidence, resilience, and independence for life beyond school-

• Support teachers in the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum which meets individual needs and prepares pupils for employment and success after their school journey-

• Liaise with parents/carers and a multi-disciplinary team to ensure holistic support for pupils and-provide-a wide range of experience-
