Job Purpose and work duties Job purpose: To support my child within the home and accessing social opportunities within the community.My child is 16 and enjoys being outdoors, Lego, trains and anything mechanical. Work Duties will include: • Driving them to locations for activities and days out• Motivating and encouraging them to take part and try new things• Helping them to develop social skills• Supporting with parent at medical appointments Other requirements • Establishing and maintaining effective communication with the child and their parents, maintaining confidentiality.• Always ensuring the safety of the childRequirements for applicant • Imagination in relation to activities to undertake• To be attentive and focused while working • Good sense of humour• Flexible, reliable and honest• Physically fit, agile and energetic• Understanding of autism essential• Be able to use initiative• Full driving license with business insurance within your policy• DBS Check will be completed This role is based in Canterbury but days out will mean travelling to other locations around Kent.£12.71/hourTerm Time 8hoursNon-Term Time - 10 hours Please note this advert has been placed on behalf of one of our customers.
