An opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and proactive Personal Assistant (PA) Carer to support a 24-year-old gentleman living with cerebral palsy and a learning disability.This is a fully supportive, 2:1 role requiring:Patience, empathy, and dedicationDaily engagement to support physical and cognitive wellbeingA warm, consistent presence to enhance daily lifeThe gentleman enjoys:Batch cooking and bakingSensory play and calm timeSimple, tailored activitiesMorning or afternoon walksHe thrives on meaningful interaction, gentle encouragement, and structured support from someone who brings life experience, enthusiasm, and strong common sense. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting the client’s wellbeing and independence.Role Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centered careSupport with:Showering, dressing, hygiene routinesPad changes and general health monitoringFacilitate:Daily mental stimulation and consistent engagementCooking/baking activities and sensory playLeisure time and outdoor walksMaintain a safe, calming, and emotionally supportive environmentOffer companionship and trustworthy daily supportCandidate Requirements

Experience supporting young adults with cerebral palsy or similar needs (essential)Full, valid UK driving licence (required)Enhanced DBS check (desirable; will be arranged by the employer if needed)Mature, confident, and enthusiastic personalityAbility to use initiative and apply sound judgmentMust be eligible to work in the UKMust meet national safeguarding criteriaAbility to work well with othersPlease note: This is a private support role and not based in a care home environment.
