Personal Assistant / Care Assistant (Ref 006131)

OverviewWe\''re looking for a kind, flexible and proactive Personal Assistant to support a neurodivergent family with day-to-day routines, childcare, and practical tasks. This is a varied, rewarding role working closely with bright, creative children who love animals, nature, and hands-on activities.
Responsibilities
Childcare support: help plan routines, supervise play, assist with homework, and encourage independence (e.g., cooking, hygiene, chores, errands).
Transport children to/from activities and attend appointments and groups with them.
Help with planning and attending fun outings and activities, both at home and in the community.
Provide advocacy, structure, and gentle encouragement, especially in new environments.
Work in partnership with parents to adapt support based on the family\u2019s evolving needs.
About you
Great communicator, patient, and approachable.
Confident with travel (including into London) and longer-distance driving.
Comfortable working in a household with 4 dogs and 4 kittens.
Experience or interest in Autism, ADHD, PDA, chronic fatigue/long COVID is ideal.
No formal qualifications required, but a willingness to learn is essential.
Other Info
£13.85 per hour, 22 hours a week regularly increasing to 52 hours a week during school holidays.
Two children are currently home educated, so daytime availability is important.
