The role This is a hands-on leadership role within a small specialist setting, supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD and some SEMH. You will lead the day-to-day running of the school, with a strong focus on school improvement and inspection readiness. The school needs a leader who will take ownership and lead from the front, setting high standards for both staff and pupils. About you Experience as a Headteacher or Head of School within a small independent special school or alternative provision. Experience working with pupils with autism and ADHD. Experience of an ISI or Ofsted independent school inspection. Strong knowledge of the Independent School Standards. Strong understanding of curriculum, teaching and learning, SEND, safeguarding, QA and governance. Experienced Deputy Headteachers ready for their first headship will also be considered.
