Senior Quantity Surveyor Annual Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 Location: Greater Manchester Job Type: Full-time Join the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, where you will play a pivotal role in the Strategic Transformation Programme focused on the new build, refurbishment, and decarbonisation of fire stations. This role is essential for enhancing the operational capacities of the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) while aligning with GMCA''s goals for modernisation, efficiency, and sustainability. Day-to-day of the role: Provide commercial leadership and expert cost management across a portfolio of strategically important capital projects. Ensure the effective stewardship of public funds and delivery of value for money throughout the project lifecycle. Lead on commercial and cost management matters, supporting Project Managers, senior leadership, and key stakeholders through all RIBA stages of project development and delivery. Challenge and assure externally prepared cost information, oversee project valuations and financial reporting requirements, and manage commercial and financial risks. Manage relationships with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders, providing expert advice on procurement, cost control, contract administration, and risk management.
