About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Performing Arts Teacher to join our dynamic team in Basildon. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), delivering engaging lessons in drama, dance, and/or musical theatre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality performing arts lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression

• Prepare students for performances, showcases, and examinations

• Contribute to extracurricular activities such as school productions, clubs, and workshops

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the performing arts curriculum

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Dance, or a related field

• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Ability to motivate and inspire students

• Experience directing or producing performances is desirable
