We are working with a welcoming secondary school in Rye that is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Dance & Drama to join their Performing Arts department from September. This is an exciting opportunity to encourage creativity, confidence and self-expression while working in a supportive and forward-thinking school.
The school welcomes applications from qualified teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and talented unqualified candidates with relevant experience in Dance, Drama or the Performing Arts. For the right candidate, there may also be the opportunity to undertake teacher training and gain a recognised teaching qualification while working in the school.
The Role

  • Teach Dance and Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical and inclusive lessons.
  • Inspire students to develop their confidence, creativity and performance skills.
  • Support extracurricular activities, school productions and performances.
  • Work collaboratively within a dedicated Performing Arts department.
We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential.
  • Applications are welcomed from qualified teachers, ECTs, unqualified teachers, graduates and candidates with relevant industry or coaching experience.
  • A passion for Dance, Drama and inspiring young people.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills, or the willingness to develop these through support and training.
  • A positive, enthusiastic and proactive approach to learning and teaching.
