Performing Arts Teacher

Bright Star Talent-is currently working-with a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in the B42 area of Birmingham to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated-Performing Arts Teacher-for a full-time position starting in September.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that motivate students to achieve their full potential. Whether your specialism is Drama, Dance or Music, you will play a key role in developing students'' creativity, performance skills and confidence within a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Performing Arts lessons in line with the national curriculum.

• Teach students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.

• Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.

• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.

• Encourage creativity, teamwork and confidence through practical and theoretical learning.

• Prepare students for performances, school productions and other enrichment activities where appropriate.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, senior leaders and support staff to maintain high standards across the department.

• Attend departmental meetings, parents'' evenings and other school events as required.

• Uphold the school''s safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety policies at all times.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

• A recognised teaching qualification in-Drama, Dance or Music.

• Previous experience teaching Performing Arts within a UK secondary school.

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A genuine passion for inspiring young people through the performing arts.

• The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.

• A flexible, professional and reliable approach to teaching.
