Role/Job Titlke: Performance Architect Mode of working: Hybrid with 3-days onsite in London Duration: 12 Months (Likelihood of further extension Our client, working on behalf of the British postal service and courier company is urgently seeking a Performance Architect with extensive experience in Performance Architecture, Performance Engineering and System Optimization. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and driving the performance strategy across the entire solution lifecycle, ensuring that applications and platforms are scalable, resilient, and capable of meeting business and operational demands. The role focuses on embedding performance engineering principles from solution inception through delivery, providing architecture-led guidance, identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, and influencing enterprise-wide technology decisions. Essential Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Extensive experience in Performance Architecture, Performance Engineering, and System Optimization. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and distributed system design. Expertise in defining and managing Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs). Experience creating sizing models, capacity planning strategies, and workload forecasting approaches. Deep knowledge of application, database, middleware, cloud, and infrastructure performance tuning. Proven ability to conduct end-to-end performance assessments and bottleneck analysis.
