PEP Coordinator

Sandwell College is seeking a committed and compassionate PEP (Personal Educational Plans) Co-ordinator to join our ESOL 16-18 department on a full-time, fixed term, maternity cover basis. This rewarding role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting vulnerable and care-experienced young people to achieve positive educational outcomes and successful futures.The successful candidate will work closely with local authorities, schools, carers, social services, and the Virtual Schools network to provide coordinated support for learners throughout their college journey.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify learners in care and maintain accurate recordsLiaise with schools, social services, carers, and external agencies to support learner needsCoordinate and attend PEP meetings, reporting on student progress and planning next stepsSupport learners with enrolment, bursary applications, bus passes, housing paperwork, and universal credit processesOrganise enrichment and sporting activities for learnersBuild positive relationships with stakeholders and support networksSupport the college''s safeguarding, prevent, and inclusion strategiesHelp learners remain engaged in education and avoid becoming NEETSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseEssentialLevel 3 or above qualification in Social Care, Youth Work, or a related fieldGCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)Experience working with young people and/or care-experienced learnersExperience liaising with external agencies including social ..... full job details .....
