People Specialist - 9 Month FTC Salary: £45,000 + Benefits Contract: 9 Month FTC Hybrid: Highly flexible - office attendance around once every fortnight Locations: Peterborough, Watford, Bristol or Birmingham The Role A broad HR opportunity combining hands-on Employee Relations, business partnering and people projects. You''ll work directly with managers across the business, owning ER cases while supporting wider change, workforce planning and HR initiatives. Key Responsibilities Independently manage a varied ER caseload including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence and wellbeing. Advise and coach managers on complex people matters, confidently challenging where appropriate. Provide pragmatic advice in line with UK employment law and commercial priorities. Support organisational change, restructures and workforce planning. Contribute to wider HR, culture and transformation projects. Review people data across ER, absence, engagement and performance to identify trends and risks. Build strong relationships with managers and stakeholders across the organisation. Ideal Candidate Strong hands-on Employee Relations experience is essential. Confident managing ER cases independently rather than simply providing administrative support. Good working knowledge of UK employment law. Experienced advising, coaching and influencing managers directly.
