People Services Assistant

Come and join our People team, we are recruiting for a People Services Assistant. You will roll your sleeves up and get stuck into providing an all-round HR support service to the wider business and the people team.
The role will offer you lots of variety as no day will be the same, there is lots of opportunity to develop your payroll, HR process and system knowledge. There will be opportunity to change the way we do things and support process improvement projects.
You will play a key role in coordinating and maintaining accurate employee records, supporting the recruitment and onboarding of new hires, maintaining the HR system, monthly payroll and providing first line advice and guidance to colleagues and managers. As a team we provide first class customer service to our colleagues, ensuring best practice is at the forefront of what we do, bringing to life our people strategy - Attract, Develop, Retain.

Key accountabilities will include:
- Managing the full onboarding process for new starters within SLA and payroll deadline. This includes right to work in the UK documentation is accurate, issuing the offer via DocuSign and undertaking all onboarding activities to ensure the onboarding process is managed in an efficient manner
- Complete all People Services administration activities in relation to contracts of employment including appointments, termination and variation of contractual terms, rewards and retirement
- Creating new starter and maintaining employee electronic records inline with GDPR
- Maintaining HR system data to ensure accuracy as data feeds into dashboards for period reporting
- Support running monthly / period HR statistics reporting to provide analysis to the HR team on wider business areas – sickness, absence, leavers
- Managing the offboarding process for all leavers working within monthly payroll deadline
- Provide first line HR advice and guidance on queries and escalate if required to the People Manager or People Business Partners
- Manage and respond to day-to-day queries in the people & payroll inbox
- Support process improvement projects
- Administer & maintain medical records on cascade including pre-employment, periodic health surveillance & medication checks
What you’ll bring:
- CIPD or working towards the qualification (desirable)
- Previous experience in an HR, recruitment or Payroll administrator role
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible approach and able to adapt to meet the needs of the business
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of GDPR principles
