About the Role

This is a hybrid contract role for an experienced HR professional to lead policy and project work within a People & Organisational Development team in Central London. The People Policy & Projects Lead will review, update, and embed employment policies and procedures, ensuring they remain progressive and legally compliant. Key responsibilities include leading people-focused projects that enhance the employee journey and providing expert advice on employment legislation and best practice. The role is full-time for a 12-week period, with part-time considered, and pays between £30.86 and £34.48 per hour PAYE. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience in policy design are essential.

The Opportunity
A great short‑term opportunity for an experienced HR professional to lead innovative people policy and project work within a collaborative People & Organisational Development team. You’ll help shape the employee experience, ensure policies are progressive and compliant, and drive improvements across people processes and services. The role is hybrid, with a Central London base preferred.
Key Responsibilities

  • Policy development — Review, update and embed employment policies and procedures.
  • Lead and contribute to people‑focused projects that enhance the employee journey.
  • Provide expert advice on employment legislation and best practice.
  • Benchmark policies and conduct research to ensure innovation and sector alignment.
  • Develop training materials, toolkits and communications to support policy rollout.
  • Analyse and streamline people processes to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
