People Manager

OverviewThe Groucho Club is seeking a People Manager to work with the Senior Management Team and local Management Teams to attract and develop talent for our venues. The role supports delivery of commercial and HR strategy, working closely with the Managing Director and Operations Teams. A human, open and collaborative approach to people management is important.

People Manager - The Groucho Club

Hours : 42.5 hours per week

Salary : Up to £55,000 per year DOE

What Success Looks LikeOur People Manager will work with the Senior Management Team and local Management Teams to ensure we attract and develop the best talent for our venues. The role also contributes to the delivery of commercial and HR strategy, collaborating with the Managing Director and Operations Teams. Representing a human, approachable style to people management and fostering openness and collaboration is key.

Responsibilities

Seamlessly implement new practices and ways of working as Artfarm expands.

Act as the trusted people partner to local senior management teams, addressing people issues efficiently and pragmatically.

Provide support to the whole team, being approachable and collaborative at all levels.

Stay up to date with employment law and payroll legislation changes and share knowledge with the wider team.

Focus on talent acquisition at all levels, engaging with local community groups, charities and relevant networking groups.

What Makes a Brilliant People Manager

CIPD Level 5 is preferred

Proven experience in a people capacity within hospitality is essential

Excellent communication skills and solid knowledge of employment law

Good knowledge of people management principles and procedures

Working knowledge of payroll management

Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

Ability to coach and support the team
