Job Title: People and Payroll OfficerLocation: CardiffHours: Full-time (flexible working options available)Contract: (12 months temporary - Maternity Cover)About the RoleAn established public sector organisation is seeking an experienced People and Payroll Officer to join their HR team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave.This role will provide essential transactional HR and payroll support, ensuring employee records and payroll activities are accurate, compliant, and delivered in a timely manner. You will play a key role in supporting employees across the organisation while contributing to continuous improvement within HR services.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver day-to-day HR and payroll administration supportMaintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity within HR systemsSupport payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate paymentsAssist with routine reporting and data requestsSupport HR systems maintenance and updatesContribute to security checks and vetting processesEnsure compliance with internal policies and proceduresWork collaboratively with colleagues across the organisationIdentify opportunities for service improvement within HR processesPerson SpecificationEssential Skills and ExperiencePrevious experience in HR administration and/or payroll supportStrong attention to detail with a high level of accuracyExperience maintaining HR systems and employee recordsAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information professionallyStrong ..... full job details .....
