HR Manager / People & Culture Manager – Immediate Start

Location: Milton Keynes & Northampton
Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £23.00 per hour (equivalent to £45,000 per annum)
Start: Immediate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded HR Manager / People & Culture Manager to join a growing, purpose-driven organisation during an exciting period of transformational change.

This is an immediate-start opportunity, so unfortunately candidates with a notice period cannot be considered. For the right person, there is genuine potential for the role to become permanent.

Our client is a well-established charity with sites in Milton Keynes and Northampton.

This is a varied, hands-on HR role where you’ll work closely with managers across the organisation, providing trusted advice and support whilst helping to shape culture, improve ways of working and drive positive change.

Duties of an HR Manager / People & Culture Manager
  • Provide practical HR advice and guidance across the organisation
  • Manage Employee Relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding and induction processes
  • Coach and support managers on a range of people-related matters
  • Provide advice on UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Support employee engagement and culture initiatives
  • Review and improve HR processes and ways of working
  • Support organisational change and wider People & Culture projects
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with managers and employees across the organisation
What we would like from you
  • Strong operational HR experience
  • Solid Employee Relations experience, with the confidence to manage cases independently
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law
  • Commercially minded, proactive and confident
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Solutions-focused with the ability to use your own initiative
  • Organised, resilient and comfortable working at pace
  • Able to balance empathy and a people-focused approach with accountability
  • Available to start immediately
