Pension Specialist
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pension Specialist to join our team on a temporary contract basis for an anticipated 9-12 month period.This role is ideal for a pensions professional with strong technical knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a governance-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support Defined Benefit pension scheme activitiesPerform manual calculations for member benefits including:RetirementsDeath benefitsTransfersMaintain accurate records and clear audit trailsSupport governance and compliance processesImport/export pension data and run system actionsWork with pensions administration software and support data-related activitiesCollaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and team membersEssential Skills and ExperienceStrong working knowledge of Defined Benefit pension schemesExperience with:Contracting OutGender EqualisationAbility to manually calculate pension benefits accuratelyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHighly accurate, diligent, and organised approachAbility to work independently and manage workload effectivelyAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsGood working knowledge of Microsoft Word and OutlookExperience using pensions administration software, including:Data importing/exportingRunning automated actionsDesirable SkillsKnowledge of GMP EqualisationCoding or scripting experienceExperience ..... full job details .....
