Are you a PE Teacher, Sports Coach or experienced sports professional looking for flexible work in schools across Eastbourne?
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to support schools on a supply basis from September. This is a flexible opportunity where you can choose to work full-time or part-time, making it ideal for those looking to fit school work around other commitments.
QTS is not essential for this role. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience coaching or teaching sport who are confident working with young people.
The roleAs a PE Teacher / Sports Coach, you may be asked to:
- Deliver PE lessons and sports activities
- Follow lesson plans and activities provided by the school
- Support students in developing their sporting skills and confidence
- Maintain a positive and safe learning environment
- Manage groups of students effectively
- Encourage participation and positive attitudes towards sport
- Adapt activities to suit different abilities
- Support the school with general cover where appropriate
- Experience teaching, coaching or leading sports activities
- Confidence working with children or young people
- Good communication and classroom/group management skills
- A positive and enthusiastic approach
- The ability to engage students and encourage participation
- Reliability and flexibility
- QTS is desirable but not essential
