Supply Desk is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Bushey. This full-time role is available for a September 2025 start, offering an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students in Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The school is committed to delivering a broad and balanced curriculum that encourages students to develop physically, mentally, and socially. The successful candidate will join a passionate department that values teamwork, creativity, and high standards of teaching and learning.
Job Description:
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring all students are motivated and supported to achieve their full potential.
- Plan and implement engaging and inclusive lessons that promote physical fitness, skill development, and teamwork.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting lessons to meet diverse needs.
- Lead and participate in extracurricular sports clubs, competitions, and school sports events.
- Work collaboratively with the PE department and wider school staff to develop cross-curricular links and whole-school initiatives.
- Promote healthy lifestyles and positive behaviour in and out of lessons.
- Maintain a safe and organised environment in accordance with the schoolandrsquo;s health and safety policies.
- Take an active role in form tutoring, pastoral duties, and parent communications as part of the wider school community.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an ECT with a relevant degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
- Be passionate about physical education and committed to promoting active, healthy lifestyles.
- Have experience delivering high-quality PE lessons and managing diverse classroom behaviours.
- Demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to differentiate effectively.
- Be confident using data to inform teaching and support student progress.
- Show a commitment to continuous professional development and whole-school involvement.
- Be an excellent communicator, both in writing and verbally, with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a valid DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
