Female PE Teacher / Head of PE (Maternity Cover) Job Type: Temporary (Maternity Cover) Location: Tower Hamlets Duration: September 2026 to October 2026 Start Date: September 2026 We are inviting applications for an outstanding Female PE Teacher or Head of PE to join our team on a temporary basis covering maternity leave from September 2026 until October 2026. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who is passionate about Physical Education and Sports Studies and is committed to achieving excellent outcomes for all students. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons to students of all abilities. Lead and manage the PE department effectively (if applying for Head of PE). Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and engagement. Maintain and promote high standards of teaching and learning within the department. Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate sports events and activities. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure high achievement. Engage in continuous professional development to further enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Required Skills and Qualifications Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Physical Education. Proven experience as a PE teacher or Head of PE, demonstrating outstanding classroom practice. Ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues alike.
